Focus Your Focus on Who Matters

In violent waters, Peter walked along,
Focused on Jesus, steady and strong.
But the moment his gaze shifted to the raging storm,
He started to sink, losing his calm.

Who’s your focus on today?
What fills your thoughts this day?
Is it the rent that’s almost due,
Or the worry of where the next meal comes through?

Do you dwell on the child yet to arrive,
Or the spouse you await to feel alive?
Is it your marriage on the verge of a fall,
Or the empty bank account that troubles your all?

Does your heart tremble at sickness threatening your life,
Or the daily struggles stealing your smile?
Remember, storms will rage and roar,
But also remember there’s One who can walk on the violent waters to the shore.

Jesus calms the raging storm with just a word;
Focus on Him, let His voice be heard.
Neglect the chaos; fix your gaze on His face,
For He holds you steady with unending grace.

The violent waters won’t drown you today,
As your focus is on Jesus, come what may.
He is our anchor and peace in the fight,
With Jesus, you’ll rise and walk in His light.

Focus your focus on the One who matters, JESUS!

Isaiah 26:3–4

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
