SUPERIORITY! (IF ONLY YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT NORMAL).
Acts 8:4-25
What does it mean to be superior?
Superior: Beyond the power or influence of; too great or firm to be subdued or affected by; with to.
We have been called to be superior! But then the problem is, a lot of Christians have chosen to live normal lives!
We have been called to take over!
But the problem is that a lot of Christians have chosen to be taken over!
We have been called to lead! But a lot of Christians don't really know who they really are or the power they carry.
When Philip went to that city in Samaria, immediately he began to exercise his taking over ability!! He preached the word of God, he healed the paralytic and crippled, he drove out evil spirits, He went some where new but immediately He became Superior! That's the take over GRACE WE POSSES! SUPERIORITY!!!
I am sure the demons there knew immediately someone different has come here, someone that is not willing to be taken over has come here, someone that will not shut up no matter how much we try, has come here. Someone that knows exactly what He carries. See the devil IS SCARED EVERY TIME, A CHILD OF GOD UNDERSTANDS THE KIND OF POWER HE CARRIES!
Before Philip Stepped into that City, there was this man named Simon there! He was a Sorcerer, the people of Samaria where amazed by this guy! He was the one they thought was the all powerful one. In fact they called him the "great one". All the people in the city both high and low, that is the rich and the poor all gave attention to this man.. A man with no real power. (vs9-11)
When Philip "showed up" in that city! Attention switched!! (vs12)
The amazing thing was that even the so called "great one" Simon knew immediately that the one with the real power has showed up!
See we need to understand we carry the TAKE OVER POWER. We belong to Jesus! We carry the Holy Spirit and all His power!
If it were some Christians, when they get to Samaria and the see Simon the Sorcerer they will even be amazed by His power and they will be the ones following him.
See when you enter anywhere, since you have be birthed again in Jesus you are genetically wired to take over that place immediately! Jesus came to earth to take over! He was superior all round, even death could not hold back his superiority!
You don't go into a place to take side or just follow! You go there to take over! Where ever God has placed you. You are there to lead, to take over, to be superior!
See, when the likes of Daniel and Joseph where taken into slavery, they didn't go there to cry or to waver in their believe in God, No!!! They understood their God is a Superior God. They all took over in strange lands.
Don't let the Devil deceive you! You have been created for more!
Simon the Sorcerer was astonished and followed Peter everywhere because of the power He carried.. Hahahaha when the "great one" saw REAL POWER he had to calm down and give way. He didn't argue he just gave way.
See wherever you go you are to be superior!!!!!
Simon thought you could even buy the Holy Spirit. Hahahahaha.(vs18)
I am sure He has seen that those people that where amazed at his magic before after receiving the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands by Peter and John started doing things he could not do! They even became superior to him. Eh!
He wanted to buy it so that only him has the power!
No!!! Peter told him.. You will perish with your money! Because thought you could buy the gift of God with your money!
The Holy Spirit, the GIFT of God is FREE! You need him in other to be Superior. He is all Powerful. He knows the mind of God! He is one with God! He is FREE!!!
*WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT , THERE IS NO SUPERIOR POWER IN YOU.
Just ask God! Just Ask and He is all yours.(Luke 11:9-13)
Now you KNOW!! It's all in your hands, there is a free gift from God that can make you superior anywhere. If you choose to refuse receiving this gift then you have chosen to be taken over, to be pushed aside, to be a wimp.
*In your work place, you are to be superior, people are to look up to you because of Who you carry!
*In school, you are to be superior, other students are to look up to you because of Who you carry!
*You can't be poor, you are superior to lack! You have been called to give!!
*You are superior to sickness! You have been called to heal!!
Anywhere you go, anything you are doing people are to look up to you!!!
And as they do.. You lead them to the all superior ONE, JESUS CHRIST!
Permit me to say this,
*YOU ARE NOT NORMAL!!
*YOU ARE TOO LOADED TO BE NORMAL!!
*THE PERSON YOU CARRY INSIDE YOU IS NO SMALL PERSON!
*YOUR UNDERSTANDING IS BEYOND THE NORMAL REASONING OF MEN!!
*YOU HAVE THE MIND OF THE MAKER OF THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH.
*HIS POWER IS MANIFESTED THROUGH YOU.
*YOU CAN'T BE NORMAL!!!!!!
YOU ARE SUPERIOR!!!!!!
