THEME : ATTRACTING THE HELP OF GOD SERIES (1).
We will be doing a series on what attracts God to help a man!
TOPIC: SURRENDERING AND PUTTING ALL YOUR HOPE IN GOD.
Text : Psalms 3:1-8, 2 Samuel 5:19, 1 Timothy 6:17, Isaiah 59:23.
What does it mean to surrender?
To give up into the power, control, or possession of another.
One of the fastest ways to attract the help of God is to surrender all to him.
When you surrender all to God you are simply letting God know all your hope is in him!
When you let God know that you can't do anything without him, he will quickly show up for you. Telling him that there's nothing you can do on your own about a particular situation moves God to help you. He can't disappoint you!
God said it in his word in Isaiah 49:23, that those who put their hope in him will not be disappointed. God is not a man that He should lie.
One of the major problem we have is that we always try so hard to do everything on our own without surrendering it all to God. You have to step down for God to take charge in all situations. You have to let God know he is in charge. God wants to be in charge of everything concerning you. He knows how best to take care of you for he created you!!
Why do you say he is the Lord of your life if you can't surrender everything to him?.
I so much love David. He always surrendered every battle and everything to God. David was victorious in all his battles because he surrendered it all to God.
Psalms 3:1-8 is a classic example of what David does, He was faced with a whole lot of trials but he quickly handed it all over to God. He Told God in Psalm 3:3 that he was his shield, Glory and the lifter up of his head.

That was David handing over the battle to God.
He went on to say this in Psalm 3:8
"From the Lord comes deliverance."
He surrendered his battles to God putting all his hope in God. And God always came through for him.
Another example of David handing his battles over to God is this,
2 Samuel 5:19
David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand? And the Lord said to David, Go up, for I will surely deliver [them] into your hand.
Before you take major steps in your life do you involve God or you just go about doing things on your own? For you to attract the help of God in your life and in everything you do always surrender to him and let him know all your hope is in him!
WHAT YOUR POWER CAN DO FOR YOU, WILL NEVER BE AS BEAUTIFUL AS WHAT THE POWER OF GOD CAN DO IN YOUR LIFE!
What are you waiting for?
Let God be in charge of everything in your life, even your troubles and struggles!! Once you put him in charge He will surely put your life in order.
God is HERE to HELP YOU! He is waiting for you to give him control!
Prayer:
Father, I surrender my all to you. I can't fight these battles(name them) on my own, today I have learnt that you help those who surrender and put their hope in you, Father I receive your help as I surrender all to you today in Jesus name!
